Rex L. Davis, CEO

Rex Davis came to Albuquerque in 1987 from Grand Junction, Colorado. In November of 1990 RMCI, Inc. was founded , Rex was one of RMCI, Inc.’s original shareholders. He joined RMCI, Inc. in 1991, and as a former business owner himself, Rex had a key role in the company’s startup. In the years that followed, Rex filled many important roles within the company including Project Superintendent, Project Manager, and Vice President of Equipment. In 2011,  Rex transitioned to President of the company.

 

Rex has been active with AEMP (Association of Equipment Management Professionals) serving on their board of director’s for many years and chaired the Certification Commission.

 

Rex was a member of a NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) 1987 world champion racing team. Rex enjoys restoring classic cars and is master judge for NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society).

 

Today Rex resides in Albuquerque with his wife Linda.

 

Clay Blair, President/Operations

Clay Blair has been in the construction industry for over 30 years. Clay started as a framer while obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Business at the University of California at Riverside. He then furthered his education at Arizona State University in the Masters program in Construction Engineering. In 1994 Clay started his own underground utility company in Phoenix, Arizona. By 2006 the company had grown to be one of the largest utility companies in the state of Arizona.

 

Clay has been with RMCI since March of 2011. He is a shareholder, on the Board of Directors, and President.

 

Clay and his wife Wendy currently reside in Albuquerque with their five children.

 

Steven Duffy, Vice President of Estimating

Steve Duffy has been in the heavy civil construction industry for over 30 years.  In 1986 Steve started working for a civil engineering firm in suburban Chicago.  In 1995 he transitioned to the construction side of the industry as an Estimator/Project Manager with a heavy civil contractor in Naperville, Illinois.

 

He has been with RMCI since October of 2008.  Steve is a shareholder and on the Board of Directors.

 

Steve and his wife Hope currently reside in Albuquerque.

 

 

Michael Pierce, Vice President of Equipment

Michael Pierce joined RMCI in the fall of 1999. He is the Vice President of Equipment, a share holder, and on the Board of Directors.

 

Mike is an active member of AEMP (Association of Equipment Managers) and is a Certified Equipment Manager. Mike chaired the AEMP Emissions Committee, served on the AEMP Safety Committee, and is currently the chair of the AEMP Awards Committee.

 

Mike and wife Betty currently reside in Los Chaves, New Mexico.

 

 

Bryan Davis, Controller

Bryan Davis was born and raised in Albuquerque and has been involved in accounting, budgeting and finance for the past 20 years.  He took over as Controller at RMCI, Inc. in 2013 and prior to that spent 10 years working in the business group at Sandia National Laboratories.

 

Bryan received both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Business Administration (BBA and MBA) from the University of New Mexico.  He is currently a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).  When he’s not at work Bryan can usually be found spending time with his family and coaching soccer.

 

 

 

Steve Moore, Safety Director

Steve Moore is a New Mexico Native raised in the Southeast part of the state and has been in the mining and construction business for over 35 years. Steve has been employed at RMCI, Inc. since early 2001 and has been a  shareholder since 2003.

 

Steve’s current position is Safety Director/Human Resource Director. Steve has earned the credentials of Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) and Safety, Health and Environmental Professional (SHEP) from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a past President of the National Utility Contractors Association of New Mexico (NUCA) and current Board/ Executive Board member, and is a trustee for the New Mexico Contractors Comp Trust Self-Insurance Fund.
